Position highlights

  • Employment: Hourly, Full Time
  • Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Pay: $22.00 – $26.00/hour DOE + $2.00/hour 2nd-shift premium
  • Site: HF (7034 IL Route 84, Savanna, IL 61074)
  • Reporting line: Tooling Manager

What you’ll do

  • Operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to build, assemble, and repair precision parts and tooling
  • Use blueprints and engineering specs to achieve correct dimensions, tolerances, and finishes
  • Set up, service, and maintain machines to ensure safe, efficient operation
  • Flag equipment malfunctions and part issues early for timely resolution
  • Adhere to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures
  • Mentor junior team members and support their growth
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of machining experience in a metal manufacturing environment, including blueprint reading
  • You understand—and can describe—what “making chips” means
  • Stable work history with minimal gaps
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality to meet production timelines and team goals
