Manual and CNC Lathe Operator

Custom manufacturer in Lawrenceville is hiring a Manual / CNC Lathe Operator for their production team! The right candidate will bring solid lathe experience and precision machining skills, CNC experience is a plus, but strong manual lathe skills will also be considered.

Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 1st Shift, 10 hour days
$20-$25 per hour

What You'll Do

• Select and install chucks, collets, fixtures, and cutting tools according to blueprints and job orders
• Run CNC turning centers or manual lathes to perform turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, and drilling operations
• Load, edit, or write G-code programs and adjust feed rates, speeds, and tool wear offsets to maintain tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and dial indicators
• Monitor tool wear, change dull inserts, clear metal chips, and perform daily cleaning and lubrication of equipment

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years Lathe Operator Experience
• High school diploma or GED; technical trade school, apprenticeship, or relevant on-the-job training
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and basic machining math
• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment accurately
