Mandrel Operator - 3rd Shift
Location: Alliance, NE
Pay: $16.50

Are you ready to play a crucial role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? As a Mandrel Operator on our 3rd shift team, you'll be the backbone of precision and quality, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards from start to finish. This position offers a great opportunity to showcase your technical skills and attention to detail while working in a dynamic and collaborative setting.

What You'll Do:
  • Select the appropriate mandrel and set up inspection and mold machines to ensure optimal operation.
  • Prepare and maintain the lubrication tank, applying lubricant consistently to each mandrel.
  • Operate inspection equipment to identify and remove defects, splice ends when necessary, and coil materials into tubs.
  • Run mold machines, monitoring for defects such as cracks, excess rubber, misalignment, or surface imperfections.
  • Measure mandrel OD with tape or calipers to verify diameter and ovality specifications.
  • Prepare and operate the lube and treating machines, ensuring proper agitation and application.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.

Required Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate measurement tools like O.D. tape and calipers.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and work efficiently on the production line.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with mold or rubber manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of lubrication and surface finishing processes.
  • Prior experience working in a similar role or industry.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but not required.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Must be able to lift and handle materials as needed.
  • Comfort working on the 3rd shift, with a flexible attitude toward shift hours.
