    As Schwab continues to modernize its finance ecosystem, we are embarking on one of the most significant transformation initiatives in the Office of the CFO: a multi-year Cloud ERP transformation coupled with the acceleration of AI-enabled finance capabilities. This effort will establish a modern, cloud-based finance foundation that simplifies operations, strengthens governance and controls, enhances data quality, enables advanced analytics, and positions Finance to leverage embedded AI and agentic technologies at scale.

    We are seeking a Managing Director, Finance Transformation to lead this enterprise-wide transformation. This executive will serve as the senior business leader responsible for defining strategy, driving execution, and delivering business outcomes across the Cloud ERP program and Finance AI transformation portfolio. The role will operate at the intersection of Finance, Technology, Data, Risk, and Operations, partnering closely with executive leaders across the firm to modernize core Finance capabilities and build the foundation for the next generation of intelligent Finance operations.

    Enterprise Finance Transformation Leadership

    • Define and lead Schwab''s multi-year Finance Transformation strategy spanning Cloud ERP modernization, Finance data strategy, AI enablement, and operating model evolution.
    • Serve as accountable leader for ERP implementation phases, including roadmap development, vendor selection, implementation planning, organizational readiness, and value realization.
    • Build and execute a transformation roadmap that modernizes Finance processes across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Procurement, and workforce planning.
    • Lead transformation efforts that establish a unified cloud-based data foundation, standardized finance processes, scalable accounting rules engines, and enhanced governance capabilities.

    Cloud ERP Strategy & Delivery

    • Own end-to-end delivery of the Cloud ERP transformation, including business case development, governance, stakeholder management, implementation planning, and business adoption.
    • Partner with Finance, Technology, HR, Procurement, and Data organizations to redesign processes and simplify the application ecosystem.
    • Drive modernization of Finance platforms and workflows while reducing operational complexity, improving scalability, and enhancing management reporting capabilities.
    • Oversee vendor evaluations, implementation partner selection, contract negotiations, and long-term platform strategy.
    • Ensure delivery of a future-state architecture that enables streamlined operations, stronger controls, trusted data, embedded analytics, and AI-ready infrastructure.

    Data Strategy & Modern Finance Architecture

    • Lead the design and implementation of a modern Finance data ecosystem that clearly separates operational systems of record from analytical platforms optimized for forecasting, modeling, and AI.
    • Drive enterprise data governance, lineage, quality, reconciliation, and control initiatives supporting Finance transformation objectives.
    • Partner with Enterprise Data, Technology, and Architecture teams to ensure alignment with cloud, AI, and data modernization strategies.
    • Establish scalable standards for Finance data management, reporting, modeling, and AI enablement.

    Executive Stakeholder Leadership & Governance

    Serve as the primary transformation leader working across a broad set of executive stakeholders, including:

    • CFO Organization, including Finance Innovation Team (FIT), Enterprise Finance, Treasury, Controllers & Regulatory Reporting, Finance Risk Management

    The role will regularly engage with executive and enterprise governance forums to ensure alignment, funding, prioritization, risk management, and organizational readiness throughout the transformation lifecycle.

    Change Leadership & Organizational Readiness

    • Lead transformation communications, stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies across Finance and partner organizations.
    • Develop future-state operating models, workforce strategies, and capability-building plans necessary to sustain transformation outcomes.
    • Build and develop high-performing teams across Finance Transformation, AI Strategy, Program Management, and Change Management disciplines.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

    What you have

    Required Qualifications

    • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within Finance, Technology, Strategy, Consulting, Data, Transformation, or related functions.
    • Proven executive leadership experience delivering large-scale ERP, Finance modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise platform initiatives.
    • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple business units, executive stakeholders, and technology partners.
    • Strong understanding of Finance operating models, accounting processes, financial planning, treasury operations, regulatory reporting, risk management, and data governance.
    • Experience leading large organizations through significant business and technology transformation.
    • Exceptional executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
    • Ability to translate complex technology, data, and AI concepts into actionable business outcomes.
    • Experience operating within highly regulated financial services environments.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior leadership experience overseeing ERP implementations such as Workday, Oracle Fusion, SAP, or comparable enterprise platforms.
    • Experience developing and deploying AI, analytics, automation, or advanced data capabilities within Finance organizations.
    • Background in management consulting, enterprise transformation, or strategy functions.
    • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
