    About the Role:

    CBRE is seeking a highly visible and growth-oriented Managing Director to lead our Dallas Retail Advisory business. This leader will be responsible for driving market share growth, recruiting and developing top brokerage talent, strengthening client relationships, and advancing CBRE's position as a leading retail real estate services provider in one of the nation's most competitive retail markets.

    The Managing Director will oversee a team of retail brokerage professionals and serve as the market leader responsible for business development, talent strategy, operational excellence, and revenue growth.

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
    • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
    • Lead the strategic growth of the Dallas Retail Advisory business, establishing and executing a plan to expand revenue, market share, and client engagement.
    • Serve as a visible leader within the Dallas retail real estate community, building relationships with owners, developers, investors, retailers, and industry partners.
    • Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, strengthening key client relationships, and expanding service offerings across the retail sector.
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing brokerage talent, with a particular focus on attracting experienced producers and emerging leaders.
    • Grow market share across all core service lines and maintain and extend CBRE's competitive advantage.
    • Collaborate with Regional Group Presidents and senior leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives and business objectives.
    • Ensure broker operating platforms create a competitive advantage through recruiting, retention, productivity, and talent development.
    • Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth and market differentiation.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance while enhancing productivity and engagement across the retail platform.
    • Achieve insight into business performance against growth, recruiting, and operational objectives.
    • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values. Influence stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and build consensus across diverse groups.
    • Apply extensive business, industry, and leadership expertise to improve existing methods, processes, and standards.
    • Identify and solve complex operational, organizational, and strategic business challenges by leveraging internal and external resources.

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    • Real Estate Salesperson License required (Texas).
    • Significant experience within retail real estate brokerage, advisory, leasing, investment sales, or related commercial real estate disciplines.
    • Demonstrated success leading, recruiting, and developing brokerage professionals and high-performing teams.
    • Established network within the retail real estate industry, including relationships with landlords, retailers, developers, investors, and industry influencers.
    • Proven track record of driving business growth through business development, talent acquisition, client engagement, and market expansion.
    • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and retention.
    • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and within the broader real estate community.
    • Experience building and executing strategic growth plans that increase revenue, market share, and team productivity.
    • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complex, and difficult information while setting expectations and resolving challenges.
    • Leadership skills to establish, manage, and achieve targets with direct impact on business performance.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
    • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret business metrics and perform financial-related calculations.
