    JOB SUMMARY

     

    Lead the strategy, roadmap, governance, and ongoing evolution of Workday Payroll, Core HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. This role is the functional product leader for critical workforce capabilities and translates operational needs into scalable Workday solutions that improve employee experience, simplify operations, strengthen compliance, and deliver measurable business value. The manager partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and IT and leads analysts, consultants, and vendor partners.


    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


    ·   Own the product vision, roadmap, prioritization, and governance for Workday Payroll, Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence Management, workforce administration, employee/manager self-service, and workforce reporting.

    ·   Serve as functional leader for Payroll, partnering with Payroll leadership to maintain accuracy, compliance, controls, scalability, and operational continuity.

    ·   Modernize and optimize employee-lifecycle, HCM, time, attendance, scheduling, leave, and absence processes.

    ·   Challenge existing processes and recommend simplification, automation, and configuration improvements while maintaining appropriate controls.

    ·   Build trusted partnerships across HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and IT; translate business needs into scalable product solutions.

    ·   Lead assessment and adoption of Workday releases and new functionality, with emphasis on continuous improvement, user adoption, reporting, and measurable value.

    ·   Lead Workday analysts, consultants, and vendor partners; establish accountability, collaboration, professional growth, and future team capabilities.

    ·   Track outcomes such as payroll accuracy, self-service adoption, automation, data quality, compliance, roadmap execution, and value realization.


    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    DEGREE TYPE:  Bachelor's Degree preferred/typically expected for the role.


    FIELD(S) OF STUDY:  Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline.


    EXPERIENCE


    ·   10+ years supporting HR Technology, HR Operations, Payroll, Workforce Management, or related areas.

    ·   7+ years of hands-on Workday experience.

    ·   Deep functional expertise in Payroll, Core HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.

    ·   Experience leading large-scale Workday initiatives, transformations, or optimization programs.

    ·   Experience managing teams, consultants, and vendor partners.

    ·   Strong understanding of payroll operations, workforce administration, compliance requirements, and HR business processes.

    ·   Preferred: global workforce and 10,000+ employee environment experience; enterprise SaaS product ownership; exposure to Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, or Performance.

    ·   Functional governance, release management and user adoption

    ·   Workforce reporting and insights

    ·   Executive stakeholder management and cross-functional partnership

    ·   Team, consultant and vendor leadership

    ·   Strategic prioritization and measurable value realization


    CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES


    ·   Relevant Workday functional certification(s) preferred

    ·   Workday Payroll and/or HCM certification preferred

    ·   Product management, Agile, or related certification is a plus
