    Summary:

    Manages the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling a portfolio of volunteers greater than 150 adults assigned to various hospital departments. Responsible for management of essential volunteer programs. Ensures timely and accurate records and reports/leads appropriately for each program.

    Required Education:

    High school diploma or GED or equivalent

    Recommended Education:

    Bachelor's Degree

    Required Work Experience:

    5 years of relevant experience with HS/GED; or 7 years of experience in lieu of a HS Diploma/GED. Demonstrated readiness through either prior leadership experience, or, for internal candidates, successful completion of the ASPIRE program.

    Recommended Work Experience:

    Leadership - 4 years of progressively responsible leadership experience preferred.

    Description

    1. Manages weekly volunteer schedules including clocking details.

    2. Interviews, onboards and ensures compliance (TB, CBC, TDAP, Flu, annual safety assessment, etc.) annually for all volunteers.

    3. Engages volunteers, ensures annual evaluation are completed, provide correction, coaching and sometimes separation.

    4. Responsible for management of volunteer engagement programming.

    5. Provides direct supervision of AC program staff and may work in a matrixed supervision role for community-based staff.

    6. Recruit, interview, and hire qualified staff. Managing staff performance by assessing competency and providing constructive feedback on initial hire, on an on-going basis, and during annual performance appraisal.
