    General Summary

    Administer and supervise EMU's Logistics Services that include: Shipping/Receiving and Mail Services, Move Requests, and Inventory Operations.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Administer and supervise University's Logistic Services.
    • Administer and manage central receiving activities within Purchasing Department software system(s).
    • Develop best-in-class processes for Mail Services, Inventory, and Shipping/Receiving activities.
    • Responsible for daily and monthly reporting for mail service, central receiving, and surplus inventory levels.
    • Maintain and support central store vehicles in collaboration with Fleet Management.
    • Schedule and oversee move requests from university departments, in collaboration with the Physical Plant as necessary.
    • Respond to inquiries from University staff regarding policies and procedures of all areas of responsibility.
    • Provide excellent customer service to the University community for all areas of
      responsibility.
    • Interview, train, and evaluate directly supervised staff, including student staff.
    • Other activities as assigned by Director, Purchasing and Procurement.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    The completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience is required in order to manage and perform these supervisory and operational duties.
