Job Title: Manager Tooling Job Summary: Manages the design and development of tools and machinery to facilitate and optimize manufacturing processes. Leads design reviews to determine tooling concepts design options testing plans and specifications. Provides expert input to resolve design issues and innovate solutions. Oversees the design fabrication sourcing and procurement of fixtures jigs gauges cutting and forming tools carts racks and other items to support production. Ensures design documentation and models for the fabrication of tools are accurately prepared. Controls budgets costs resource allocation and materials required for tools. Develop Implement and Maintain overall tooling management organization. Optimize tool tool design and CNC program control. Ensure that Tool Design Standards are developed and maintained. Develop and implement the tool recycle and maintenance process. Create direct and promote process procedure and action plans. Attend engineering andor management meetings and provide necessary input and guidance. Interface with vendors and Purchasing department in selection of tools and various materials. Review project status with management as required. Other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions / Minimum Position Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in mechanical industrial or manufacturing engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years in a management role preferably in a manufacturing environment. Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform and accomplish tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Mental Demands: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Understanding of document and date control as it relates to CNC programs and tool designs. Understanding of configuration management.
