    POSITION OVERVIEW
    As a Manager, Tax Reporting your roles and responsibilities will include:
    The client is seeking an experienced Manager, Tax Reporting to join its Corporate Tax Department. In this role, you will lead the company's income tax reporting process, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and U.S. federal and state tax regulations. You will work closely with finance teams, external auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders to prepare tax provisions, support financial reporting, and drive continuous process improvements.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
    • Calculate current and deferred income tax provisions.
    • Prepare and review tax journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
    • Prepare tax footnotes and disclosures for financial statements.
    • Analyze and forecast the effective tax rate (ETR), including identifying key drivers and variances.
    • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by coordinating with external auditors.
    • Ensure compliance with SOX controls related to tax reporting and maintain appropriate documentation.
    • Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the organization.
    • Prepare tax-related reports and schedules for management.
    • Maintain and support tax provision software, including Hyperion Tax Provision.
    • Conduct tax research and document technical accounting conclusions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tax reporting processes and ensure compliance.
    • Schedule: Full-time | 9/80 Work Schedule (Every Other Friday Off)
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Manager, Tax Reporting who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Manager, Tax Reporting would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
    • Minimum of 9 years of relevant tax experience (or 7 years with a graduate degree, or 13 years of related experience without a degree).
    • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal and state income tax laws.
    • Experience preparing corporate income tax provisions and financial statement disclosures.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CPA, MST, or JD.
    • Experience with Big 4 public accounting or a large multinational corporate tax department.
    • Experience with Hyperion Tax Provision or similar tax provision software.
    • Experience supporting multinational tax reporting.
