JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Systems – Payment is responsible for managing a team involved in the sustainment, ongoing strategy, standardization, analysis, design, implementation, and configuration of payment systems and services across Universal Parks and Resorts. This role leads compliance and business continuity initiatives by translating conceptual ideas into actionable implementation plans and monitoring, analyzing, and executing related projects based on requirements. The position collaborates closely with domestic business stakeholders and technology partners to support the 24x7x365 availability of Universal Destinations & Experiences systems and is based in Orlando, Florida, with occasional travel to other NBCUniversal parks and properties.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the administration and maintenance of payment systems, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations. Oversee system monitoring and management processes for effective reporting, remediation, and uptime optimization.
  • Manage the payment team and sustainment efforts. Lead resolution teams to address issues in a timely manner and maintain operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, including Finance, HR, Security, Internal Audit, users, team members, and IT colleagues, to define, develop, and understand payment-related business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications for projects and activities.
  • Support Release Management and Change Control processes. Partner with applicable teams to support SOX, PCI, and Internal Controls compliance, minimize production change risk, and report situations of non-compliance.
  • Provide status reports and communicate open issues to the team and management.
    Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or information management preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of equivalent work experience in technology or the merchant payments field.
  • Prior leadership experience managing teams of 3+ resources;
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Familiarity with merchant processing and banking rules.
  • Familiarity with PCI or EMV preferred.
  • Familiarity with Jira preferred.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of merchant processing, fraud or loss prevention, and Payment Card Industry (PCI) considerations.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex system issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and members of interdisciplinary teams across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to develop and oversee project schedules and budgetary demands.
  • Ability to work with internal business clients and external vendors.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to build and lead a team in completing a project successfully within scope, budget, and timeline.
