As a Manager on the Portland Glass team, a typical day for you will include:
  • Ensuring all employees and team members strictly adhere to Portland Glass safety standards, and conducting regular safety meetings/ regularly inspecting PPE
  • Overseeing that correct procedures are used to ensure safe installations, meeting the designated architectural specifications for glass installation
  • Managing the retail store to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and resolving customer escalations in a professional and timely manner
  • Reading, understanding, and analyzing monthly financial statements and making improvements as needed
  • Proactively coaching and developing team members to ensure success in their respective roles, and identifying opportunities for recognition and development
  • Purchasing inventory and products to sufficiently service customers to ensure efficiency while keeping in line with the budget

(Required qualifications)
  • Experience: business management experience required, prior glass experience/related skilled trades experience preferred!
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related computer programs
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to understand and analyze budgets, financial statements, inventory, and related retail business procedures/reports
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test per applicable state laws
  • Education: High school diploma/GED is required; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
