Overview:
Step onto the lot where Hollywood history is made. As Manager of Special Events at Paramount Pictures, youll be at the center of some of the entertainment industrys most iconic and high-profile gatherings, set against the backdrop of our legendary Hollywood studio.
Based on the Paramount Pictures lot, youll report directly to the Executive Director of Event Operations and serve as the connective tissue between clients, creative vision, and impeccable execution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build and maintain solid relationships with internal and external partners, leveraging those connections to deliver innovative, memorable events that exceed client expectations
Own end-to-end logistics coordination across all assigned events, ensuring every detail is accounted for from concept through close-out
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and all internal and external partners, managing concurrent relationships and ensuring expectations are clearly set and met
Lead brainstorming sessions to develop fresh event concepts and translate them into actionable plans
Provide accurate, timely communication to clients, vendors, and meeting planners throughout the event lifecycle
Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing, terms, and service quality
Obtain all necessary permits for applicable events
Prepare detailed event reports, including cost and margin projections
Plan and facilitate pre- and post-production meetings to align all partners on the scope of work
Collaborate closely with the Special Events team to meet departmental and company financial goals
Administer Change Orders with a close eye on budget integrity, helping clients understand cost implications in real time
Oversee payment schedules and ensure all financial milestones are met
Work hand-in-hand with on-lot departments, including Security, Janitorial, Fire, Facilities, Grips, and Set Lighting, to support seamless event operations
Precisely track and record event spending, facilitating timely and complete billing
Be available to work all assigned hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of hands-on event planning and execution experience
Additional Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Extraordinary client relationship and expectation management skills
Solid leadership with the ability to guide teams and vendors toward a shared vision
Great organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously in a dynamic environment
Solid understanding of budgeting and financial oversight
Collaborative team player who steps up to support colleagues when needed
Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends as event schedules require

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $74,000.00 - 111,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
