    Description

    As a Software Engineering Manager (Frontend/Mobile) at Carbon Robotics, you will work alongside your software, mechanical and electrical peers to build AI and robotics products. In particular, you will be involved in the process of guiding a team through designing and implementing websites, applications and mobile apps that are used with our products. You'll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.

    What you'll do:

    • Manage and lead a team of engineers to build a variety of mobile and web applications that interface with both cloud and robotic systems.
    • Collaborate with other engineering teams and product managers across multiple disciplines.
    • Resolve conflicts within the team and across collaboration interfaces.
    • Oversee the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
    • Manage resources and priorities so projects are successfully delivered on time.
    • Mentor, grow and provide technical guidance to engineers on the team.
    • Communicate deliverables effectively to the broader organization.
    • Foster a culture of fast iteration and work ethic worthy of a growing startup.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

    • Experience managing a Frontend (Typescript, React) or Mobile (Flutter) software engineering team.
    • Capable of operating as a Lead Software Engineer in your respective expertise.
    • Understanding of deployments of web and mobile products while collaborating with backend and robotic teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary organizations.
    • Lead by supporting an in-office culture where collaboration drives innovation.
    • Field visits to Farms are a must.
    • BS+ in Computer Science or related field.
