    Manager, Software Engineering Mission-Critical Defense Systems

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead software development efforts on secure communication systems and embedded platforms
    • Oversee technical execution, team performance, and project delivery
    • Coach and develop engineers at all levels while scaling the team
    • Guide requirements definition, architecture, testing, and deployment activities
    • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering, manufacturing, and product teams
    • Support proposal development, resource forecasting, and cost modeling
    • Ensure Agile best practices, DevSecOps, and continuous integration/deployment standards

    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
    • 9+ years of software development experience (C, C++, or similar)
    • 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams
    • Strong foundation in software architecture, secure systems, and embedded environments
    • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and Agile workflows
    • U.S. Citizenship required (eligible for DOD Secret Clearance or above)

    Bonus Experience:

    • Background in Type 1 encryption, military communications, or information assurance
    • Familiarity with safety-critical systems or Naval communications 
    • Experience leading proposals and detailed BOEs in a defense environment
