The Simulation Program Manager (SIM PM) leads the operations of the Simulation Center which includes scheduling oversight, equipment management and policy administration. This role oversees direct reports on the SIM center team. This role establishes the schedule for the SIM center through collaboration with the other schools and programs utilizing this shared space. This role works closely with the HMSOM Clinical Skills program in the development of the curriculum with regard to resources and technical capabilities.

Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Simulation Program Manager (SIM PM) at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Manages all operations related to the SIM center including but not limited to handling the overall schedule of the center and resolving any conflicts that may arise among multiple tenants.
- In conjunction with the HMSOM Clinical Skills team, develops and executes the curriculum with regard to simulation activities.
- Provides technical and operational guidance and support to the development and delivery of clinical skills programming.
- Develops, updates and revises operational policies and standard operating procedures as needed.
- Assists in ensuring the implementation, adherence, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures related to simulation activities,including but not limited to those regarding safety and operations.
- Oversees the use and operations of the SIM Center including exam labs, skills labs, and SIM Center equipment.
- Provides leadership to the Simulation Techs and the SP Educator which including but not limited to conducting performance evaluations and upholding policies.
- Serves as the primary liaison regarding the resolution of any technical issues.
- Provides educational and technical support to staff and students to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of simulation activities.
- Oversees the development of educational materials to assist students and faculty with the use of simulation resources.
- Maintains and creates relationships with internal and external vendors, and oversight of warranties pertaining to clinical, manikins, and procedural equipment.
- Works closely with the SIM Team on inventory management.
- Oversees and manages communications with faculty, students, standardized patients, and administration.
- Manages the collection of student performance data (grades, competency assessments, and other information) within the simulation center and facilitates OIEA access to the data.
- Generates compliance reports related to policies.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Must be able to establish, implement and operationalize processes and apply a system-based approach.
- Ability to effectively manage all daily communications as well as documents and reports regarding administrative aspects of the clerkship curriculum.
- Must be adept at multitasking, keeping extremely organized and detailed.
- Must have ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Preferred:
- Master's degree in Health Sciences, Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in team management and oversight.
- Leadership development training.

Starting Minimum Rate:
Minimum rate of $97,011.20 Annually
