Manager Server Engineering

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Manager Cloud Services job in Providence, RI. This permanent hire opportunity is available with one of our key customers in the healthcare industry. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise cloud infrastructure and services. To be successful in this position, you should have extensive experience leading cloud engineering teams, developing cloud strategies, and managing secure, scalable cloud environments across large enterprise organizations. Preference will be given to professionals with experience in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with a strong background in cloud architecture, security, and operational excellence.

Manager Cloud Services job responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers, assigning project work, monitoring progress, and supporting professional development.
• Develop and implement cloud strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business value.
• Oversee and review the architecture of complex cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and trends, driving innovation within the organization.
•  Manage cloud projects of various scales, coordinating with various teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, processes, best practices, and disaster recovery plans for cloud environments.
•  Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Ten or more years of experience supporting enterprise cloud environments, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, security, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Cloud platform certifications are a plus.
