Position Summary: Collaborates with the Director Sales on the strategic development, direction and implementation of the plan to sell available banquet, restaurant and bar & lounge space, along with hotel rooms, to external customers; as well as oversees the daily responsibilities of the Coordinator Sales

Essential Job Functions:
â Solicits new accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
â Treats guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needs
â Informs supervisor of guest needs which may require special accommodations
â Showing special recognition of frequent guests
â Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients; including room rental, A/V and other revenue generating opportunities
â Experience selling to a variety of market segments; including, but not limited to weddings, corporate, social events and trade shows
â Consistently welcoming guests, thanking them for their patronage, seeking ways to make them comfortable and expressing your desire to have them return, building a track record of long term client relationships
â Up sell menus and communicate with the chefs and managers to review menus and special requests
â Responsible for all event related payments including credit card and cash
transactions
â Communicates efforts and bookings with the management teams as to not double book
â Work closely with Banquet Manager and F&B department on operations and event execution, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
â Present a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance at all times
â Maintaining constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and informs guests
â Cooperating and communicating with fellow team members in all departments and always striving for mutual respect and a feeling of camaraderie
â Contributing to the success of the organization by producing accomplishments rather than activities, completing your duties with enthusiasm and by helping fellow team members improve job skills and performance
â Reporting for work on time and adhering to the established work schedule

â Responsible for distributing promotional gifts or other giveaway items
â Assists guests with explaining and redeeming promotional offers when appropriate
â Research and understand demand generators, new sources of business, internet as a prospecting tool, community involvement and networking to establish and grow business
â Strong knowledge of the local market and similar facilities in the region
â Builds relationships with regional and local meeting and event planners to garner consideration for events
â Maintains the master calendar for event functions in all spaces of the casino
â Leads in planning and communicating sales event information to external
departments ensuring that each affected department is aware of and planning for events appropriately
â Communicates group information to external departments, ensuring that each affected department is aware of and planning for events appropriately
â Attends events and maintains customer relations during the event to ensure
satisfaction and flawless execution
â Takes all steps necessary to ensure the financial and reputational success of all sales events
â Represent the company in a professional capacity at external functions, special events, concerts, promotions, etc.
â Ensures flawless internal control and regulatory compliance leading to perfect internal and external department audits
â Performing other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
â College degree or other work or educational equivalent required
â Working knowledge of CRM and function room diary diagramming such as: Delphi, Sales Force or similar event space booking management system
â Working knowledge of Point of Sales systems, specifically Micros
â 3-5 years of relevant experience working in Manager Sales and above roles within the casino industry
â Knowledge of food and beverage, meeting room setup/seating styles, basic
audio-visual equipment offerings and contract elements
â Knowledge of sales techniques, including closing and negotiating skills
â Knowledge of market trends, competition and key hotel customers within the
Region
â Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and Google
â Outstanding organization skills are a must, as is the ability to actively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
â Strong desire to take accountability and have their performance measured on
