Role Overview:
 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team within a growing skilled trades organization. This confidential leadership role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing successful sales teams, driving performance through coaching and accountability, and creating a culture focused on customer service, integrity, and results. Experience in residential or commercial electrical services is preferred, though candidates with a strong skilled trades sales leadership background will also be considered.

Pay: Up to $180,000 (Includes Salary plus bonuses)

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to the sales team to achieve company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop sales professionals to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Establish KPIs, performance expectations, and sales objectives while monitoring progress through reporting and analytics.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, sales observations, and coaching sessions to improve closing rates and customer experience.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies designed to increase market share and drive sustainable growth.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure opportunities are followed through from lead generation to closed sale.
  • Partner with operations and field teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale through project completion.
  • Create and maintain pricing, proposal, and sales processes that support profitability and consistency.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and support conflict resolution to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales trends, performance metrics, and market opportunities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, budgets, and department performance reports.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, professionalism, and ethical business practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Support business development initiatives and establish relationships with key customers and community partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience with demonstrated success managing sales teams.
  • Proven experience achieving and exceeding sales goals in a performance-driven environment.
  • Experience within skilled trades, home services, construction, electrical, or related industries preferred.
  • Electrical industry knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing sales budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Management, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to travel locally to customer locations, job sites, sales meetings, and training events.
  • Hearing, vision, and speaking abilities sufficient to effectively communicate with employees and customers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
