Job Summary:
The Manager, Quality, Health, Safety and Security (QHSS) supports the Company's fleetwide safety management, occupational health, regulatory compliance, emergency response, and maritime security programs. This position monitors operational performance, conducts audits and investigations, manages safety and security documentation, and partners with vessel and shoreside teams to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
The Manager serves as the Deputy Company Security Officer (DCSO), supports the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) function, and participates as an active member of the Emergency Response Team. This position also supports fleet training, regulatory reporting, internal and external audits, and the continued development of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) and Vessel Security Plans.
Success in this role requires strong maritime regulatory knowledge, sound judgment, analytical and investigative skills, and the ability to build productive relationships with vessel personnel, shoreside leaders, regulatory agencies, and external partners.
This position follows a hybrid work model with 3 days per week working in the Seattle office and 2 days per week working remotely.

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
