Position Summary
The Public Relations Manager supports the university’s integrated public relations function, spanning media relations, issues monitoring, and crisis response. Reporting to the Director of Public Relations, this role plays a key executional and coordination role in advancing media opportunities, managing incoming requests, and supporting rapid response to emerging issues.
This position also contributes to identifying trends, monitoring public sentiment, and ensuring alignment across communications efforts during both routine and high-profile situations.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field
7+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or journalism
Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to emerging issues

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 12.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$91,000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
