Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
Manage learning projects and portfolios by providing strategic direction to the Enterprise Learning & Development group (ELD) to ensure that the client's workforces possess the knowledge and skills required to work safely, in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements. You will help to close performance gaps as well as implement solutions that shape performance across the organization.
Required Skills/Attributes
- Experience overseeing the implementation of training initiatives across diverse operating units (OUs), assessing effectiveness, identifying gaps, and reporting on outcomes.
- Experience providing oversight of training curriculum maintenance and new development, ensuring programs remain current and aligned with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Experience making data-driven recommendations and executing complex initiatives that address regulatory and operational challenges.
- Experience collaborating with business leaders, SMEs, and Instructional Designers to prepare and deliver clear and concise training recommendations.
- Experience defining training project requirements, developing implementation roadmaps, and managing execution while navigating obstacles.
Desired Skills/Attributes
- Experience assessing the impacts of regulatory requirements and safety initiatives on electric grid infrastructure and operational processes for customer service or craft and experience reporting findings to key regulatory stakeholders.
- Experience interpreting and aligning technical business operations with regulatory requirements across multiple organizational units, including craft work, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
- Experience implementing automation solutions that ensure compliance with policy or governing agencies while embedding safeguards in process design.
Additional Requirements
- Typically possesses one to three years of experience coordinating or managing small to medium projects or product workstreams.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, support development of project plans, manage schedules, track progress, and contribute to the execution of defined deliverables.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, anticipate issues, maintain documentation, and operate effectively under moderate time constraints.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and communicate status updates to various audiences.
