Job Duties and Responsibilities The Project Management SkillBridge Trainee actively supports project teams and contributes to various project phases. You learn and apply best practices under the guidance of experienced project managers.
Required Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Current enrollment in or completion of a SkillBridge program.
Experience
Demonstrated leadership or organizational experience from military service.
Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments.
Knowledge/Skills
Project Planning: Basic understanding of project phases and objectives.
Task Management: Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Scheduling: Familiarity with creating and managing basic timelines.
Documentation: Attention to detail in preparing and maintaining records.
Team Collaboration: Works effectively within a team setting.
Risk Management: Eagerness to learn and identify potential project challenges.
Stakeholder Management: Basic understanding of engaging with different project parties.
Problem Solving: Exhibits an analytical approach to challenges.
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Management, IT).
Prior experience in a project support role or coordinating activities.
Basic knowledge of project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
Relevant military occupational specialty (MOS) or rating.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
Works primarily in an office or remote setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
Sits or stands for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks.
Communicates effectively in person, over the phone, and via virtual platforms.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
