Position Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Patient Access, the Patient Access Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all patient registration points of service across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Patient Access, this position provides oversight of registration operations to ensure a seamless patient experience, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and revenue integrity.
The Patient Access Manager leads and develops two Patient Access Supervisors and their respective teams, ensuring consistent performance, standardized workflows, and exceptional customer service across inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, surgical services, laboratory, imaging, and ancillary registration areas. The Manager serves as a key operational leader, driving continuous improvement initiatives, workforce engagement, quality outcomes, and organizational performance through effective leadership and collaboration. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, management, or related field required.
Experience: 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare call center, patient access environment, or multi-specialty medical group.
