As the Manager of Packaging Design, you will lead a dynamic creative team to develop innovative, functional packaging for our market-leading brands. This role requires an expert balance of structural design, visual aesthetics, and strategic leadership to ensure our products stand out on retail shelves globally. You will oversee the packaging process from initial concept and physical mock-ups to mass production. Collaboration is key: you will partner cross-functionally with product design, marketing, and global manufacturing teams to deliver compelling consumer experiences while managing team workloads, cost targets, and timeline requirements. What You Will Do:
Lead the end-to-end packaging design and development process for boys' plush and plastic toy lines, ensuring innovative, functional, and brand-accurate deliverables meet strict scheduled deadlines
Manage, mentor, and guide a team of packaging designers through all stages of the employee life cycle, fostering creativity and a high standard of aesthetics
Evaluate packaging designs for structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and retail fit while researching consumer trends for new packaging materials
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, global counterparts, and outside vendors to implement packaging strategies, resolve production issues, and execute outsourced projects
Oversee the creation of physical and computer-modeled mock-ups, prepare licensor submissions, and maintain cohesion between packaging materials and final product functionality
Ensure strict quality control by following workflow protocols, approving print proofs (FEPs), and prepping final files for production (including Pantone matching, prepress, and mechanicals)
Take ownership over various complex packaging projects to maintain schedules, resolve development bottlenecks, and actively support production

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
