Hybrid, Chicago, IL or New York City, NY
We're looking for Manager, OneStream Administrator for Amer Sports' office in Chicago (IL) or in New York City (NY)!
Amer Sports is a global collective of iconic sports and outdoor brands, powered by a community of people who share a passion for authenticity, impact, and excellence. We bring together leading brands, talented teams, and a culture built on collaboration. If you're looking for an environment where you can make an impact and grow your career, we invite you to explore the opportunity below.
What you will be doing:
We are seeking an experienced OneStream Administrator to lead the administration and ongoing development of our global OneStream platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in OneStream administration combined with the functional finance acumen to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and resource for both day-to-day administration and complex development initiatives, while helping upskill adminstrators transitioning from other EPM technologies to OneStream and ensuring compliance with SOX controls and governance standards. This role will report to our Head of Financial Systems.
Platform Administration & Development
- Administer and maintain a complex global OneStream application, encompassing financial consolidations (multicurrency, intercompany eliminations, Profit in Inventory eliminations, Non-Controlling Interest), financial planning (forms, dashboards, driver-based and detailed planning), and workforce planning.
- Lead the design, build, and enhancement of new OneStream functionality, serving as a senior technical resource capable of translating finance and business requirements into robust platform solutions.
- Create and maintain metadata structures, cube views, form profiles, dashboards, business rules, data sources, transformation rules, workflow profiles, and security configurations.
- Develop and manage integrations using System Integration Connector (SIC) and other data integration frameworks.
- Write and maintain VB.NET business rules and SQL queries in support of calculations, data loads, allocations, and reporting requirements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolution of application issues, ensuring platform stability and data integrity.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Serve as platform liaison across Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Proactively communicate platform changes, impacts, and timelines to process owners ahead of go-live.
- Lead change management for platform releases, including training and adoption support, to minimize disruption to close and planning cycles.
- Sequence competing priorities across brand and functional stakeholders, escalating trade-offs as needed.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Guide and mentor newer OneStream administrators, providing technical direction, training, and support to build team capability.
- Participate in day-to-day administration alongside the team while taking ownership of tasks requiring advanced OneStream expertise and judgment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize enhancement initiatives.
- Contribute to requirements gathering, solution design, and build phases for new development projects.
Compliance, Controls & Documentation
- Ensure the OneStream platform and all related processes adhere to SOX compliance requirements, including maintaining proper segregation of duties, change management controls, and audit documentation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical and process documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and control narratives.
- Partner with internal and external auditors as needed to support SOX testing and evidence requests.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or Management Information Systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with OneStream implementing or administering OneStream applications in a corporate environment, with demonstrated proficiency across all core administration areas.
- 5+ total years of experience working in EPM/CPM systems (e.g. OneStream, Hyperion, etc.)
- Deep expertise in OneStream platform components including metadata management, cube views, form profiles, dashboards, business rules, data sources, transformation rules, SIC integrations, workflow profiles, and security administration.
- Track record of leading platform or process changes end-to-end, including communication planning and user adoption, not just technical delivery.
- Proven experience supporting consolidation processes including multicurrency translation, intercompany eliminations, Profit in Inventory eliminations, and Non-Controlling Interest calculations.
- Experience with financial planning modules within OneStream, including forms, dashboards, and detailed or driver-based planning.
- Working knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and the ability to design and maintain controls within the OneStream environment.
- Proficiency in VB.NET for business rule development and SQL for data analysis and integration support.
- Strong ability to independently assess requirements, propose solutions, and execute development work with minimal direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to take ownership and strive for excellence in how work is planned, executed, and improved.
What we consider a plus:
- Functional background in accounting or finance (e.g., financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate consolidations), enabling effective translation of business needs into technical design.
- Experience with workforce planning modules and related data structures within OneStream.
- Track record of creating clear, thorough technical documentation including design specifications, administration guides, and process narratives.
- Experience mentoring or training other OneStream administrators or finance systems users.
- Familiarity with OneStream MarketPlace solutions and extensible platform capabilities.
- OneStream certification or participation in formal OneStream training programs.
