Description
The purpose of the class is to plan, coordinate and supervise voter registration for County, state, and federal elections for Dorchester County and to perform related administrative and supervisory work as required. This class plans, organizes and implements programs within major organizational policies and reports program progress to executive-level administration through reports and conferences.
Duties
All County employees are considered public servants for the citizens of Dorchester County. When requested before, during, or after an emergency event, County employees are expected to work and serve the public in coping with the emergency.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate degree.
Requires at least six (6) years of related work experience including experience in management and supervision.
Special Qualifications:
Must possess a valid state drivers license.
Must obtain certification from the State Election Commission within two (2) years of employment.
Must pass criminal background check.
May be a safety sensitive position which is subject to random drug and alcohol testing depending on the duties of the particular position.
Must be able to attend evening County Council and Board of Elections and Registration meetings.
Must be able to conduct evening training and voting machine demonstration events throughout the County.
