Job Description:
Chick-fil-A at Shepherdstown Crossing is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the Manager of Training and Quality Assurance position for our Kitchen / Back of House (BOH). This person must be caring, friendly, have a genuine heart to serve others, be highly organized, and have the ability to multitask and work efficiently. This “hands-on” Manager of Training / QA opportunity is designed to give you a career in the most highly esteemed restaurant chain in the nation.
The Manager of Training & Quality Assurance is responsible for learning and training our Team Members on all operational activities associated with the kitchen areas of the restaurant while ensuring that processes are followed and quality is maintained at the highest level. This person maintains the standard for “Operational Excellence” in the kitchen and leads by example while mentoring and developing other Kitchen Team Members and developing other Trainers. We will teach you what you need to know and you will manage the other Trainers that you develop.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to work full-time, year-round
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and make quick decisions on a daily basis
- Has a heart for coaching, developing, and serving others
- Experience training team members and producing positive results
- Ability to meet the demands of a busy, fast-paced, complex business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Desire to grow and be developed as an individual and as a leader
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on feet for at least 9 hours
- The ability to open and/or close the restaurant and availability to work Fridays and Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- The Manager of Training & Quality Assurance person will work with other members of the leadership team to develop other Team Members to deliver high quality food for our guests
- Learn every operational job in the Kitchen/BOH and be able to train other Team Members in these jobs as well as perform at a high-level in these jobs when necessary.
- Train Team Members to maintain a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety & team safety.
- Develop and manage other Trainers
- Ensure food quality is maintained to Chick-fil-A’s standard
- Engage with Team Members and guests to create remarkable experiences and a welcoming environment.
- Be directly involved with training and development of Kitchen/BOH team members to Chick-fil-A standards
- Maximize food quality while working to minimize food waste
- Among other responsibilities that may be assigned, you may be required to work “hands on” in the kitchen as needed to support the team.
Pay Type:
- Hourly, commensurate with experience and work availability
- Premium pay for full-time closing shifts

Education/Experience:
- Must have a strong understanding of kitchen operations
- 1+ years of experience in a kitchen/culinary training or leadership role, preferably in a fast food or quick service restaurant
- Chick-fil-A experience a plus but not required
- ServSafe Certification (preferred but not required)
