Position Summary The Manager of Support Services oversees the daily operations, performance, and strategicdirection of multiple nonclinical support departments within the hospital environment. This roleensures a safe, compliant, efficient, and patient centered physical environment by leadingFacilities Management, Safety and Security, Food andNutrition Services, Environmental Services,and all skilled trades (including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, carpenters, andpainters). The manager ensures full regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a highstandard of service delivery across all support functions. Operational Leadership Direct, coordinate, and evaluate operations across Facilities Management, Safety amp; Security,Food amp; Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, and skilled trades. Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and performance standardsaligned with hospital goals. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal functioning ofbuilding systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement of supplies and equipment. Ensure efficient workflow, staffing, and resource allocation across all support servicedepartments. Qualifications Required 7+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, support services, hospitaloperations, or related fields. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of an educationaldegree. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (CMS, DNV, NFPA, FGI). Experience managing skilled trades and multidisciplinary support service teams. Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and hospital infrastructure. Preferred Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Healthcare Administration, orrelated field. Professional certifications such as: CHFM Certified Healthcare Facility Manager CFM Certified Facility Manager Experience in an acute care hospital or healthcare environment.
