Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manager for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry departments. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of patient care while managing a high-volume environment.
Essential Duties:
  • Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate strong computer and documentation skills.
  • Apply proper English grammar and punctuation in professional communications.
  • Perform calculations including proportions, percentages, BSA, circumference, and volume.
  • Analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and make informed decisions.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
  • Supervisory experience or previous role as a charge nurse preferred.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
  • Current California RN license required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Basic EKG/telemetry interpretation experience required, or completion of a Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment.
Skills:
  • Leadership and supervisory skills in clinical settings
  • EKG/telemetry interpretation
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
