Position SummaryThe Manager of Marketing & Communications is responsible for leading the organization's strategic marketing, branding, communications, public relations, digital media, and business development initiatives for Connexus HSN and affiliated partner organizations.This position develops and executes comprehensive marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, maximize market share, strengthen community relationships, support organizational growth, and promote agency services. The Director serves as the organization's creative leader and strategic advisor, overseeing the marketing department, analyzing competitor research, and ensuring high client satisfaction while managing digital platforms, social media, advertising, media relations, and internal communications.Essential ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Department OversightOversee and guide the marketing department, planning, coordinating, and directing all marketing efforts.Develop and execute organization-wide annual marketing strategies aligned with management and leadership goals.Conduct competitor research and assess demand for services to identify potential customers and client needs.Develop pricing and promotional strategies to maximize market share while balancing customer satisfaction.Present marketing analytics, budgets, research, and performance reports to executive leadership.Use customer feedback to continuously ensure and improve client satisfaction.Brand Management & Public RelationsMaintain, position, and strengthen the Connexus brand and affiliated agency brands.Serve as the primary media liaison, building relationships with local and regional outlets.Develop press releases, media kits, and coordinate television, radio, print, and digital media opportunities.Prepare executives for interviews, manage crisis communication, and protect organizational reputation.Digital Marketing, Analytics, & TechnologyManage all organizational websites, improving user experience and online visibility (SEO).Develop and oversee digital advertising campaigns across platforms, including Google Ads.Evaluate and implement marketing technology solutions and AI-powered productivity tools.Monitor website and marketing analytics to track ROI and analyze campaign effectiveness.Content & Social Media DevelopmentDevelop compelling written content and manage comprehensive editorial calendars for websites, blogs, press releases, annual reports, newsletters, social media, and internal communications.Develop an organization-wide social media strategy and create engaging content across platforms.Manage paid social media advertising and grow overall audience engagement.Event, Fundraising & Recruitment MarketingWork in conjunction with fundraising staff to market, plan, and promote events and sponsorships.Support event logistics from a marketing perspective.Develop employment branding strategies and support internal recruitment campaigns.Develop and oversee a comprehensive organizational internship program.Compliance & AdministrationDevelop and manage annual marketing budgets, evaluate expenditures, and negotiate vendor contracts.Maintain strict awareness of HIPAA laws and requirements, maintaining absolute confidentiality.Adhere to the agency's policies, procedures, code of ethics, and comply with all Federal, State, and Agency Mandated Regulations.Technical Skills & Core CompetenciesRequired Technical & Administrative SkillsSolid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, SEMrush).Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and WordPress.Exceptional copywriting skills with a strong knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Good command of written and spoken English; ability to speak effectively before large or small groups.Familiarity with clerical and administrative procedures.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Strategic & Analytical: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and data analysis.Professionalism: Excellent moral character, proactive work ethic, and ability to convey a positive image regarding the Agency.Organization: Effective time management, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.Adaptability: Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work.Interpersonal: Excellent relationship building, vendor management, and communication skills.Additional ResponsibilitiesKeep the Chief Executive Officer informed regarding all plans, activities, campaigns, projects, and emerging opportunities.Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.Education & ExperienceRequired QualificationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related fieldMaster's DegreeThree (3) years of progressively responsible marketing experienceNonprofit marketing, healthcare, or human services experienceProven ability to manage budgets and multiple stakeholdersSupervisory experienceHigh competence in project managementGoogle Ads and Google Analytics certificationsExperience with digital/social media and content marketingExperience with CRM, CMS (WordPress), and automationAbout Connexus Human Services NetworkConnexus HSN is a nonprofit shared services and consulting organization dedicated to strengthening the health and human services sector.
