Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Drivers and Fleet to join our team.  This is an extremely important position at Select responsible for successful delivery of our products and services to a variety of customer types in the restaurant, bar and entertainment industry. 

Your driver team is currently being reimagined to include three specific categories. These include:

• Route Sales Drivers - Works with our local accounts. Their role is heavy customer engagement/service while delivering products ordered.
• Agency Account Drivers - Larger customers that consistently order the same products/services and require some additional support in terms of inventory management, product rotation and ordering.
• Select CO2 Drivers - These drivers are responsible for delivering and supporting our CO2 customers for both the Bulk CO2 tanks and Traditional Tank operations.

Accordingly, as it relates to the above, an equally re-imaging of the fleet is occurring. The selection of the appropriate fleet mix and in consideration of the operating expense will require your significant input.

  The selected candidate will be responsible overseeing all driver performance, vehicle performance, routing and regulatory (DOT) compliance.



You will oversee all delivery operations and ensure distribution, runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include ensuring that delivery routes organized, orders are delivered accurately, timely, and error-free. The ideal candidate is highly organized and has experience in driver management, delivery processes and logistics. 

Responsibilities 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Drivers and Fleet
• Ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner and customers are satisfied
• Hire, train, and manage drivers
• Create route schedules
• Manage truck inventories and delivery targets
• Manage team to all local, state, and federal laws and safety regulations
• Educate employees on safety guidelines and reduce on-the-job accidents and injuries
• Communicate with vendors, clients, employees, and company leadership to ensure all areas of the company are working together cohesively

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree preferred
• Previous experience managing drivers and fleet or logistics is preferred
• Excellent leadership skills
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Strong interpersonal skills
