Position Title: Manager -Mine Geologist Department: Mineral Resources Number of direct reports: Location: Tuvatu, Fiji Roster: 5:2 Reports to Position: Chief Operating Officer This Position Description describes your role and accountabilities. Purpose To provide strategic leadership for the Mineral Resource (MR) department of Lion One. The incumbent is responsible for planning, monitoring , reporting and delivery of all MR activities . The key objective of the role is to increase the value of t he mineral resource asset through improved utilisation , resource growth , discover y, or acquisition /divestment. Key Accountabilities or Activities • Oversee budget preparation and monitor budget compliance • Manage the d elivery of approved work programs • Develop and implement discovery strategies • Manage work allocation to ensure r esource replenishment • Maintain legal compliance of MR activities • Maintain Lion One t enement package • Manage any Lion One joint venture exploration activities • Identify regional exploration opportunities • Human Resources - recruitment, training and succession planning • Management of all Lion One geoscience data • Orebody knowledge and mineral system studies • Manage Resource Estimations and public reporting • Manage geoscience related news releases to meet ongoing disclosure requirements • Implement business improvement programs • Deliver quality mineral assay and metallurgical testing services Code of Conduct • Adherence at all times to the Lion One Code of Conduct. Please check release currency prior to use. • Promote awareness of SHEC practices and imbed a safety culture • Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals that support the department site and company standards • Demonstrate leadership in SHEC through personal behaviours and conversations Position Required Capabilities Skills: • Solid experience in the us e of mining and database software o Deswik and Leapfrog preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to produce technical procedures and documentation • Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks. • Demonstrate leadership in the Safety culture. • Excellen t inter personnel management Knowledge: • Proficient in Block model generation and estimation techniques • Good practical understanding of Drilling and Mining methods • Excellent knowledge of reconciliation techniques • Sound understanding of QAQC , sampling methods and theory • Good practical understanding of Exploration and Mine Geology • Database Management and verification • Maintain curren t understanding on industry technical an d financial trends Experience: • Minimum of 10+years industry experience covering underground mine geology • Experience with narrow vein underground gold deposits • Experience in foreign developing world environments Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences: • Degree in Geology • Current manual driver's licence • Membership of an acceptable professional organisation and able to be a Qualified Person (QP) Significant Working Relationships Internal: • Board and Executive Management • Mine Operations • Mill Operations • Site Services External: • Community and trad itional land holders Form No: Release No: Release Date: Form Owner: Page 3 of 3 This form is a CONTROLLED DOCUMENT.
