The Manager, Media Relations will play a central role in advancing Chubb''s reputation. Reporting to the Director of Global Media Relations, this experienced professional will help shape and execute Chubb''s external messaging and brand reputation through earned news placements, drafting press releases, statements and executive talking points; serving as a point of contact for reporters; and preparing Chubb leaders for media engagements. The role will also lead Chubb''s media monitoring, measurement and intelligence function, bringing a data- and AI-forward mindset to how the company measures and optimizes earned media impact. The role sits within Chubb''s Global Communications organization in our New York City office.
Key Responsibilities
Media Relations:
- Draft, edit and distribute press releases, statements, media pitches, briefing memos and executive talking points across a range of business, product and corporate topics.
- Identify proactive story opportunities and pitch top-tier and trade publications.
- Serve as a point of contact for reporters, responding to inquiries with sound news judgment and partnering with subject-matter experts, business units and Legal.
- Prepare Chubb executives for media and event speaking engagements, including interview prep and message development.
- Develop and execute GEO/AEO-optimized external content designed to increase message visibility among news reporters.
- Collaborate across social media, content, internal communications, marketing and business units to ensure earned media efforts are coordinated and promoted across Chubb platforms.
Media Monitoring, Analytics and Intelligence:
- Support Chubb''s global media monitoring team: set priorities, support a globally distributed team, and build the standards, templates and playbooks that allow the function to scale consistently across geographies.
- Operate and strengthen Chubb''s news monitoring and real-time crisis intelligence capabilities.
- Shape Chubb''s news briefing reports, ensuring senior leaders receive curated coverage with context, at a cadence and in formats that meet objectives.
- Own Chubb''s media measurement framework: defining priority KPIs and translating them into outcomes tied to Chubb''s business priorities.
- Apply AI models and strategies to scale core monitoring functions, including sentiment analysis and entity tagging that identifies Chubb, competitors, and products across coverage.
- Support Chubb''s AI visibility strategy: track how Chubb is mentioned in LLM responses and execute AI media relations strategy in partnership with business and marketing units.
- Manage the budget and day-to-day relationship with media monitoring vendors.

- 3-5 years of progressive experience in media relations, corporate communications, news or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated media placements and reporter relationships.
- Bachelor''s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of press releases, executive talking points, briefing materials and analytics reports produced under deadline.
- Strong news judgment and an ability to translate complex business or technical content into clear, accessible storylines.
- Experience in media relations analytics and performance measurement, including share of voice, sentiment, message penetration, quality scoring and tying earned media outcomes to business objectives.
- Proficiency and experience with media monitoring and measurement platforms (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Roxhill, Factiva).
- Working fluency with current AI models and strategies as applied to media relations.
- Highly organized, results-oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving, matrixed global organization.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience with, or established relationships among reporters and outlets covering high-net-worth topics: wealth, luxury, and fine arts collections.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services or other regulated industries.
The pay range for the role is $82,800-$121,200. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
