    • Oversees the overall operation and activities of the Grounds and Athletic Fields Department
    • Administer District policy and maintenance directives in relationship to disciplinary actions for direct reports
    • Review and approve requests for purchases of tools, equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the District
    • Completes monthly overtime reports
    • Visit District sites to monitor grounds and athletic fields operations, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and operation instructions
    • Monitor and enforce district safety regulations
    • Performs annual employee evaluations
    • Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist department personnel in solving problems
    • Schedule, supervise, and monitor related field contractors and subcontracted personnel as needed to accomplish tasks
    • Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to Grounds and Athletic Fields and Operations activities; advise appropriate personnel of regulation changes affecting the District
    • Interface with internal and external customers ensuring effective communications regarding status and priority of events
    • Must be able to work flexible hours
    • Comply with District policies and procedures
    • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned

    • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency); Bachelor''s degree in a directly related field preferred
    • In lieu of Bachelor''s degree seven (7) years of supervisory experience in the grounds and Athletic Field Maintenance
    • Required Valid Texas Driver's License and a record that meets the District's standard
    • Seven (7) years of directly related experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience
    • General landscaping and irrigation system skills
    • Knowledge of District polices and procedures
    • Project management skills
    • Computer skills ( Microsoft office suite)
    • Ability to make decision quickly
