Job Overview:

The Manager IT Application''s role is to supervise and maintain the organization's repository of software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The Applications Manager is responsible for ensuring the application systems and supporting application technologies operate at maximum efficiency, optimal cost effectiveness and highest level of customer satisfaction. The Applications Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for applications and systems necessary for business operations. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist application staff and other information technology teams on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. This role will primarily be responsible for management and support of the Epic Ambulatory and Population Health modules for the health system, along with other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor''s Degree in Information Systems or relevant fields of study

Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree

Epic Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, Value-Based Program Management experience

Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills

Strong customer-service orientation

5-7 years experience in a related field

Job Responsibilities:

Complete staff performance recommendations on time.

  • Recommend disciplinary action or promotion path as appropriate.

  • Manage project resources appropriately to ensure quality of work life balance.

  • Provide team leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget within the project schedule.

  • Removes barriers to ensure projects and initiatives move forward on schedule.

  • Escalates concerns appropriately while providing recommendations for resolution.

  • Performs definition, preliminary analysis, resource planning, project scheduling and develops project plans utilizing current methodologies and standards.

  • When appropriate provide input related to project budget planning and forecasting.

  • Ensure that project solutions, system acquisitions and modifications meet the goals and objectives of the requesting department.

  • Provides guidance and direction to team members to ensure quality procedures, techniques and standards are followed.

  • Uncompensated, on call is expected in this position per the Information Systems On Call Policy
