Manager, Insurance Billing & Accounts Receivable

Are you an experienced Manager in Ophthalmology who understands Billing and Accounts Receivable cycles? Do you desire to flexible work culture in a growing organization that values work life balance and rewards longevity? 

We're looking for an experienced revenue cycle leader to manage the daily operations of our insurance billing and accounts receivable team. In this role, you'll own claim submission accuracy, denial resolution, cash collections, and staff performance — while working alongside senior leadership to drive results that directly impact the organization's financial health.

What You Will Do: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of billing, collections, payment posting, and AR specialists
  • Oversee accurate, timely claim submission to commercial, government, and managed care payers
  • Direct AR follow-up, aging report analysis, and denial root-cause analysis
  • Monitor and report on key revenue cycle KPIs — including AR days, clean claim rate, denial rate, and cash collections
  • Prepare weekly KPI reports and contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews and leadership presentations
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce preventable denials and optimize reimbursement
  • Supervise Scribe team documentation quality and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and internal billing controls

 

What We Are Looking For: 

5+ yrs Insurance Billing / AR Experience

3+ yrs Leadership or Supervisory Experience

Denial Management

Revenue Cycle systems

Payor contract Knowledge

Medicare & Medicaid Billing

 

Nice To Have: 

Ophthalmology RCM Experience

CRCR or HFMA Certification

Multi-Team Revenue Cycle Leadership
