    TITLE: Manager Information Services

    JOB OVERVIEW: The Manager Information Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the implementation, optimization, and support of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical applications. This role ensures clinical technology aligns with organizational goals, enhances patient care, and meets the evolving needs of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. The Manager leads a team of analysts and application specialists and serves as a liaison between IT, clinical departments, and vendors.

    REPORTS TO: Director of Epic Applications

    PREREQUISITES:

    Bachelor''s degree in business administration, Data Science, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

    Minimum five years of progressive experience as a systems or technical analyst to include design, programming, and testing of application programs with a proven methodology, preferably related to clinical systems, required.

    Minimum two years of progressive leadership experience overseeing cross-functional teams, managing staff development, driving strategic planning, and ensuring operational excellence in complex healthcare IT environments, required.

    Current Epic Clinical Application certification is required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Proven leadership experience in building, leading, and scaling high-performing teams.

    Demonstrated strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills.

    Demonstrated ability to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines; ability to function in a setting with a wide variety of duties and numerous interruptions.

    Demonstrated ability of analysis and troubleshooting.

    Demonstrated experience in healthcare computing environments.

    Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, learn quickly with strong attention to detail.

    Proven record of excellent communication and organizational skills.

    UNIQUE PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Requires the ability to move PC''s and printers weighing up to 40 lbs.

    Requires planning, organizing, and working on multiple tasks at one time.

    Essential Responsibilities and Competencies:

    Ensure appropriate staffing coverage, performance oversight, and professional development of IT staff, including contract and consulting personnel.

    Set and monitor team performance goals, KPIs, and productivity metrics aligned with department and organizational objectives.

    Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and high-quality service delivery.

    Serve as the primary liaison between IT, clinical operations, and executive leadership to ensure inpatient clinical applications support care delivery, regulatory compliance, and business priorities.

    Facilitate collaboration with nursing, medical, and ancillary departments to optimize workflows and promote adoption of technology solutions.

    Partner with external vendors and industry stakeholders to stay informed of best practices, emerging technologies, and system capabilities.

    Provide leadership and direction for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects and enhancements related to inpatient clinical systems.
