JOB SUMMARY Oversees enterprise identity and access management for the organization. Directs and accountable for identity and access management (IAM) strategies, implementation, solutions, processes, procedures, compliance, governance, and maintenance for the organization while overseeing 24/7 support. Provides oversight, leadership, and strategic management of key IAM programs and controls necessary to ensure the protection of data, networks and information assets. Responsible for IAM coherency across IT systems through data analysis and validation. Represents the team as the main interface for collaboration with internal business partners and actively engages with them to ensure delivery is aligned with business needs and product vision. Collaborate closely with senior management and leaders to define action plans to track and provide remediation proposals to close gaps/needs across all ERCOT organizations in respect to IAM. Foresees organizational impacts and understands the procedures associated with introducing new technologies and processes. Focus areas are Projects and Initiatives; Business Liaison, and IAM Business Analysis. JOB DUTIES Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of staff. Frequently interacts with reporting supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas or customers. ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES Manages and fosters the relationship of all vendors providing development support to the IAM application suite Ensures recoverability plan of IAM environment in the event of disaster Serves as Incident Manager for access management and directs incident resolution when requested Partners with other product managers, development managers and technical leads across the organization to align strategies, roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and releases to mitigate risks and issues Responsible for defining and maintaining detailed functional requirements, designs for integrations and deployments, and product within an agile delivery framework for the team Produces and leads go-live release communications that inform a diverse set of business partners and/or users of new features and/or changes Directs and oversees the work of the IAM department and program, maintaining 24/7 support for IAM within or exceeding SLAs Leads and directs the implementation and maintenance of an overall integrated identity and access management strategy consistent with strategic plans, identified goals, objectives and metrics Works with ERCOT leadership to prioritize IT IAM governance initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology Works collaboratively with compliance, cyber security and other identified departments to reduce identity and access management risks Maintains compliance with NERC/ CIP Standards, ERCOT Protocols, Operating Procedures and supports internal and external audits as appropriate Drives meetings and discussions with managers and staff to help them understand identify and access management processes and tools Provides reporting and metrics that ensure the quality of the program’s services are meeting business objectives Provides programmatic, strategic and tactical direction for the continuous improvement of the Identity and Access Management program for the organization EXPERIENCE Requires minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in development and maintenance of complex IAM systems and 2 years in a leadership role in excess of degree requirements Prefer minimum 3 years implementing and/or managing large-scale Identity and Access Management systems Prefer experience in industry leading Identity and Access Management systems Prefer experience using Atlassian JIRA or equivalent to manage backlogs and document features Prefer experience in monitoring and tracking project deliverables, budgets, and timelines Reviews and approves staff timesheets and leave requests EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree : Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field (Required) Master's Degree : Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field (Preferred) or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required CERTIFICATION ITIL Foundation (Preferred) CIAM Certified Identity and Access Manager (Preferred) CAMS Certified Access Management Specialist (Preferred) CIPA Certified Identity Protection Advisor (Preferred) CIST Certified Identity and Security Technologist (Preferred) The foregoing description reflects the minimum qualifications and the essential functions of the position that must be performed proficiently with or without reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities. The ERCOT Engineer Development Program (EDP) is a 12- to 16-month, self-paced program geared toward entry-level engineers looking to start a career in the power industry. Through the program, an EDP Engineer receives one-on-one mentoring, specialized training, and exposure to the work performed by each of the engineering groups at ERCOT. The program allows engineers to develop the fundamental skills necessary to reach their full potential while gaining an understanding of the types of engineering work ERCOT has to offer. EDP management supports participants each step of the way as they progress through the program. Upon completion, graduates are placed as full-time engineers within one of ERCOT’s engineering groups. The GMS Development Program (GDP) is designed to provide entry-level and early career professionals with the skills necessary to become successful Power System and Computer Engineers. The program, which is based in ERCOT’s Grid and Market Solutions (GMS) Department, will provide experience in day-to-day work and instruction in the fundamentals of electric power systems engineering, grid and market applications, software programming, and IT service and operations management. The GDP offers one-on-one mentoring, training, field trips, and special assignments. These assignments allow GDP engineers to become knowledgeable and familiar with the various business areas at ERCOT. The GMS leadership team prepares GDP engineers for a future career at ERCOT in power systems and computer engineering. The System Operator Development Program (ODP) is intended to combine real-time daily operations in an exciting work setting to prepare participants with the vital skills necessary to be successful in such a critical position — providing 24x7x365 on-demand support to manage the flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers. If you are new to the industry, this program introduces you to the Bulk Electric System by combining introductory courses with the NERC Certification Exam Preparation Program in preparation to pass the NERC Certification Exam.
