Job Description and Duties

The District Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of all Sacramento District operations, ensuring effective personnel management, fiscal accountability, and program excellence. This includes supervising staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, and supporting Corpsmember development through structured training, education, and career readiness initiatives. The role involves managing budgets, overseeing conservation and emergency response projects, and ensuring compliance with administrative, procurement, and policy requirements. The Director also represents the CCC in community and interagency partnerships, promotes equity and inclusion across all operations, and contributes to policy development and continuous improvement efforts aligned with the CCC's mission and values.

Working Conditions

Duties will be performed at the Sacramento Center located at 570 Bercut Dr, Sacramento, CA 95811.

Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, and bending may be required. May require irregular hours or emergency response availability. Travel throughout the state, estimated 5% of time.

This position is classified as "Hybrid" and is currently eligible for up to one day of telework per week, with a minimum of four days of in-office work.

California Conservation Corps is excited to take part in the first agency-wide collaborative physical career center. The career center is located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento in the brand new CNRA headquarters building. Services provided include one-on-one career consultations, application/resume review, career guidance, mock interviews, and tips for applying.
