    The Manager Team Member Relations & Policy reports to the VP People Services and ensures Breeze Airways HR policies & procedures are in full compliance with all relevant FAA, DOT, EEOC and employment laws and regulations. This Manager works to help mitigate legal risks and foster an ethical work environment all while promoting a culture of integrity and compliance across the entire operation.

    Here’s what you’ll do

    • Serve as a company advocate, while ensuring that Team Members are supported and represented in a fair and consistent manner

    • Promote positive Team Member relations through development, implementation, and interpretation of policies, procedures, guidelines and programs related to Team Members

    • Ensure HR procedures align with Breeze Airways values

    • Acts as a trusted advisor to leadership and assist them in carrying out their business objectives

    • Act as chair of Team Member playbook committees and collaborate with select departments to ensure best practices and consistency throughout Breeze

    • Deliver HR compliance training programs for leaders including formal and informal training on harassment and discrimination

    • Notify leaders of new or changing regulations through regular updates and training sessions

    • Conduct Team Member complaint intake meetings and triage as needed

    • Advise leaders on complex alleged compliance violations & team member relations issues to ensure fair and legally compliant resolutions

    • Recommend appropriate responses by leadership

    • Support leaders with corrective actions,  disciplinary actions, grievances, and disputes following company policies and legal requirements

    • Manage requests for accommodations (ADA, Religious, and other applicable by law)

    • Monitor and manage immigration expiration dates (excluding Australia) and ensure timely communication and compliance.

    • Coordinate international crew eligibility in collaboration with the Crew Service team.

    • Lead the development and implementation of the Affirmative Action Plan, including reporting on VETs' hiring and compliance.

    • Responsible for EE0-1 reporting.

    • Lead the Team Member Non-Rev Travel Violations Committee, overseeing the review and resolution of policy violations.

    • Participate in the Criminal Background Check Committee, ensuring thorough and consistent evaluation of background check processes.

    • Oversee the Team Member Emergency Fund program, providing support and guidance for emergency financial assistance requests.

    • Serve as the HR backup for Emergency Response efforts, ensuring continuity of services during critical situations.

    • Ensures Breeze fosters diversity, equality and workplace rights for all

    • Collect and report workforce EEOC data

    • Follow rules and regulations that govern employment and labor practices

    • Protect team member rights by ensuring Labor Law regulations are clearly displayed

    • Oversee terminated Team Member unemployment claims

    • Participates as required on special projects and performs other related team services duties as assigned by management

    • Other duties as assigned

    Here’s what you need to be successful

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience/training

    • 5+ years of human resources or human resources business partner (HRBP) experience

    • 3+ years of handling employee relations investigations

    • 2+ years in a human resource management position

    • Must be thoroughly familiar with state and federal employment laws including but not limited to; FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII, etc.

    • Experienced in conducting internal complaint investigations and preparing/recommending organization response

    • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

    Preferred Qualifications

    • PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification

    • Previous airline experience

    • Experience working with Unionized work groups

    Physical Demands & Working Conditions

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

    • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment

    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

    • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environment

    • Clear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and vision
