We are seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our US HR team supporting GEP's Consulting organization. This is a highly visible role for someone who brings a strong business mindset, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys solving complex organizational and workforce challenges.
This role is ideal for someone with prior experience supporting consulting/client-facing organizations, particularly individuals who are comfortable operating with navigating evolving business needs, managing multiple priorities, and partnering closely with leadership teams.
The HRBP will act as a strategic and operational partner across workforce planning, organizational initiatives, employee engagement, staffing coordination, and HR project execution. We are looking for someone who can think beyond traditional HR administration and bring a creative, analytical, and problem-solving approach to people strategy and execution.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite in our GEP NY Headquarters.
What You Will Do
HR Business Partnership & Organizational Support
Partner closely with consulting leadership to support workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement initiatives
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters, employee concerns, and organizational challenges
Support organizational changes, team structures, workforce transitions, and people initiatives across the consulting population
Help leaders identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting employee performance, retention, and engagement
Workforce Planning, Reporting & Analytics
Own and analyze workforce reporting across headcount, allocations, attrition, utilization, immigration, and organizational metrics
Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership
Support strategic workforce planning discussions and staffing decisions
Monitor staffing trends, bench levels, and allocation risks across consulting teams
HR Projects & Process Improvement
Lead and execute HR initiatives, operational improvements, and cross-functional projects
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, employee experience, and internal HR processes
Bring a structured, problem-solving mindset to ambiguous or evolving business needs
Coordinate training initiatives, engagement programs, town halls, and organizational activities
Global Coordination & Operational Oversight
Partner closely with the India-based HR Operations and Staffing teams to ensure timely execution and operational alignment
Monitor workflow progress, escalate issues proactively, and drive accountability across stakeholders
Support compliance tracking, documentation accuracy, and employee lifecycle processes
Employee Relations & HR Operations
Support employee relations matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and confidentiality
Coordinate immigration tracking and compliance activities in partnership with internal teams and external counsel
Assist with HR operational governance, audits, and process documentation as needed
What You Should Bring
MBA strongly preferred
4-8 years of progressive HRBP, HR Generalist, consulting HR, or people operations experience
Prior experience within a consulting firm or supporting consulting/client-facing populations
Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively
Experience managing multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with proficiency in Excel and workforce analytics
Ability to navigate evolving business needs and shifting priorities, operate independently, and drive initiatives forward with limited structure
Strong communication skills with confidence interacting directly with leadership teams
Understanding of US employment practices and HR operational fundamentals
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Compensation: Eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.
