The Manager, Health Contracts supports contract administration activities for Cherokee Nation Health Services, ensuring effective contract development, review, implementation, and monitoring. This position provides operational oversight of contract workflows, supports departmental policy implementation, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitates resolution of contractual issues. Works under the guidance of the Director, Health Contracts and supervises assigned staff involved in contract preparation, processing, and compliance activities.
Job Duties:• Manages the contract development and review process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Oversees daily contract workflow operations, including tracking, packet reviews, and authorization documentation, ensuring timely execution.
• Provides direct supervision, coaching, and performance oversight for staff involved in contract drafting, review, and processing.
• Assists in implementing departmental procedures and contributes input to policy development led by the Director.
• Serves as the point of contact for solving contractual questions, issues, and interdepartmental concerns.
• Collaborates with departments, contractors, and leadership to ensure clarity and compliance in contract terms, timelines, and requirements.
• Supports development and monitoring of workflow control systems to ensure efficient contract administration and reporting.
• Ensures contract templates remain accurate and up‑to‑date and recommends revisions based on identified operational needs.
• Assists with compliance activities, including monitoring, documentation accuracy, and adherence to regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Prepares and presents operational updates, reports, and analyses for the Director as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
