The Abbott Diabetes Care FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitor (CGM) sensor and customer experience delivers patient-centered solutions and empathetic experiences critical to helping people with diabetes understand how to manage their disease-state and live life to the fullest.
Mission of the Role
Be the internal engine that connects marketing ambition with feasible, scalable, compliant, and measurable technology solutions for global Performance Marketing. This role is primarily a strategic capability leadership position focused on defining the future-state Marketing Technology landscape rather than hands-on campaign execution or platform administration.
Primary Job Scope
The Manager - Global Performance Marketing Technology is responsible for shaping and stewarding global Performance Marketing technology capabilities. The role connects marketing strategy with technology execution by defining capability roadmaps, aligning platform and data strategies, enabling scalable operating models, and ensuring investments are tied to measurable business outcomes.
Key areas of scope include:
Strategic Partnering & Right-Hand Leadership: Act as a strategic IT partner with Global Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Digital, Data & Analytics, and IT leadership teams to shape the future of Abbott's global performance marketing capabilities, supporting executive briefings, decision preparation, roadmap discussions, and follow-through.
Driving Marketing Capability Transformation: Co-create and articulate capability roadmaps for performance marketing, media activation, campaign operations, audience management, personalization, analytics, experimentation, and marketing technology enablement.
Evolution through AI Strategy: Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI-enabled marketing capabilities, including agentic workflows, audience intelligence, campaign orchestration, measurement modernization, and personalization at scale.
Marketing Technology Enablement: Partner with stakeholders across global, regional, and country organizations supporting performance marketing capabilities deployed across dozens of markets worldwide to improve marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.
Business Strategy to Capability Execution: Translate business ambition into structured capability strategies, value cases, sequencing plans, and technology investment priorities.
Data Activation & Measurement: Support capabilities that enable audience strategy, consent-aware data use, tagging, attribution, analytics, dashboards, and closed-loop performance insights.
Business Process & Requirements Analysis: Proactively analyze marketing workflows and translate business needs into clear requirements, capability roadmaps, and technology outcomes.
Technology Governance & Capability Stewardship: Define standards, KPIs, governance models, and scalable architectural patterns that ensure Performance Marketing technologies remain secure, compliant, globally reusable, and aligned to enterprise strategy.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, MS, or relevant digital / technology qualification strongly preferred.
8 years of experience in Marketing Technology, Performance Marketing, CRM, Digital Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, MarTech/AdTech, or related technology strategy disciplines, including at least 5 years in strategic planning, transformation, or technology leadership roles.
Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders and leading cross-functional technology strategy initiatives without direct authority.
Proven ability to translate marketing strategy into capability roadmaps, business processes, technology requirements, and measurable outcomes.
Strong understanding of performance marketing workflows, including campaign planning, paid media activation, audience management, tagging, analytics, reporting, optimization, and experimentation.
Experience partnering with architects, delivery teams, data teams, security, privacy, and business stakeholders to validate feasibility, integration patterns, scalability, and compliance considerations.
Ability to operate across business and technology teams, translating complex needs into structured strategies, roadmaps, and executable plans.
Demonstrated executive communication, structured problem-solving, stakeholder influence, and ability to drive alignment across functions and regions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Life Sciences strongly preferred, ideally within medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated global organizations.
Experience in large medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer, or regulated global organizations.
Hands-on experience with performance marketing platforms, marketing automation, campaign operations, CDP / CRM integrations, marketing analytics modernization, tagging frameworks, consent-aware data activation, or AI-enabled marketing workflows. Leveraging platforms such as Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Braze, Veeva PromoMats, Databricks, PowerBI.
Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), personalization technologies, and first-party data activation strategies preferred.
Experience working with global and regional marketing teams, media agencies, analytics teams, product owners, enterprise architects, and delivery teams.
Proven ability to operate as a right-hand strategic partner to senior leadership.
Previous consulting experience is preferred, with demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, advise senior stakeholders, and drive business-aligned technology outcomes.
