The Manager of Global Partnerships Strategy plays a central role in supporting the NFL’s Global Partnerships organization through conducting strategic analysis, preparing business plans, and managing detail-oriented communication materials (e.g. presentations, briefs, models). The role partners closely with leaders across Sponsorship, Consumer Products, Gaming, International, and Finance organizations to support the League’s Commercial businesses by analyzing data, developing compelling communications, and improving decision-making through comprehensive research.
This individual will leverage core analytical skills and strategic thinking to bring together data, market intelligence, financial analysis, and structured problem-solving to influence decision-making across the Global Partnerships portfolio. The role offers exposure to senior leadership while providing opportunities to influence the future direction of the NFL’s commercial revenue.
Example initiatives might include:
- Supporting forecasting and analysis to inform the long-term and annual strategic planning across Global Partnerships
- Summarizing and analyzing deal terms for new partnership and licensing opportunities
- Building business cases for international and category expansion through detailed research
- Developing executive-level analyses and presentations to inform strategic negotiations for commercial partnerships
- Creating market assessment presentations across key industries, prospective partners, and international markets
- Helping identify new revenue opportunities across Sponsorship, Consumer Products, Gaming, and Licensing
Success in this role requires the ability to quickly shift between business areas while maintaining a deep understanding of the NFL’s Commercial ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Business Analysis
- Support annual business planning and long-range forecasting across core revenue-driving departments
- Conduct market research, category assessments, and competitive analysis across the Sports and Entertainment landscape including clubs, leagues, and top entertainment IP
- Create business cases (e.g., models, presentations) to build support for new commercial opportunities across new channels, categories, and international markets
- Build data-based and well-researched financial models and scenario analyses to help contextualize and influence decision-making across the business
- Translate complex data into insights and actionable recommendations leveraging Excel and other data visualization programs (e.g., Tableau, R)
- Insights Support
- Own modeling and scenario analyses around annual business planning and long-range planning in collaboration with NFL Finance
- Partner with Consumer Insights to create materials (e.g., presentations, briefs) to communicate key insights/trends from focus groups, surveys, and market intelligence affecting the NFL Commercial businesses
- Leverage derived insights to build compelling data-backed storylines to help influence Strategic Leadership’s decision-making
- Maintain category intelligence across priority industries for the NFL and its partners, including financial market research and trends impacting NFL partner investment decisions
- Growth Initiatives:
- Support strategic projects by building key materials to communicate the opportunity for new revenue growth opportunities for NFL Sponsorship business globally
- Attend cross-departmental working groups focused on League-wide strategic initiatives (e.g. International Expansion, Innovation, Flag Football Development) to aggregate insights, opportunities, and considerations that will shape the League’s Commercial Strategy
- Support International commercial teams in interpreting market data, dynamics, and feedback to problem-solve and develop new and relevant selling stories
- Executive Communications
- Develop executive presentations for League leadership, ownership meetings, and commercial reviews
- Prepare briefing materials to inform and influence NFL leadership’s strategic recommendations and approach
- Present findings to Senior Leaders across the Global Partnerships team as needed
- Support Leadership decision-making through concise storytelling and data visualization leveraging the complete Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, or internal strategy/operations function
- Experience working autonomously with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Experience supporting executive-level projects and priorities, including working with C-level executives and cross-functional leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint skills and ability to create compelling written communications for executive audiences
- Business case modeling experience with solid understanding of financial concepts
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to deliver accurate work on tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA preferred
- Solid understanding of the marketing, media, technology, and sports industries
- Extensive background in strategy, banking, private equity, or management consulting working across various sectors
- Management experience leading a team of direct reports
- Experience with long-range planning and annual business planning processes
- Superior PowerPoint and Excel modeling
- Excellent attention-to-detail

Salary / Pay Range

Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
