WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The Manager, Fleet Distribution / Carflow, is responsible for leading Fleet production ordering, allocation planning, pipeline visibility, logistics coordination, and end-to-end vehicle flow execution. This role owns the operational performance of Fleet distribution from production through final delivery, ensuring throughput efficiency, delivery predictability, and alignment with customer commitments.
  • The incumbent serves as the primary operational leader and escalation point for Fleet Distribution / Carflow, partnering with Production Planning, Logistics, Ports, Glovis, carrier partners, Sales, Fleet Operations, and Commercial Sales to optimize allocation strategy, reduce bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement. This position exercises independent judgment in prioritizing vehicle flow, resolving distribution constraints, establishing performance standards, and recommending process, system, or policy improvements that support Fleet growth and organizational service objectives.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Allocation Strategy & Execution

  • Lead Fleet allocation planning and execution aligned with forecast demand, production schedules, logistics capacity, and customer delivery commitments.
  • Establish allocation priorities using transit time, location, port capacity, carrier availability, and customer urgency.
  • Balance volumes across ports and regions to reduce bottlenecks and improve throughput.
  • Partner with Sales, Fleet Operations, Commercial Sales, and Production Planning to support business priorities.

Production Ordering, Pipeline & Flow Management

  • Manage the VIN lifecycle from production ordering through allocation, shipment, delivery visibility, and customer handoff.
  • Identify and resolve risks including production delays, port congestion, transportation constraints, weather disruptions, and aging inventory.
  • Develop contingency plans and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and pipeline visibility.

Logistics, Port & Carrier Coordination

  • Lead coordination with Glovis, ports, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve vehicle movement constraints.
  • Analyze transit performance, reduce dwell time, improve throughput, and drive corrective actions.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop Fleet Distribution staff while setting performance expectations and accountability standards.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for allocation, logistics, and delivery-impacting issues.
  • Own performance reporting, operational targets, process improvements, staffing support, training, and employee development initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Six or more years of automotive, fleet, distribution, logistics, or supply chain experience.
  • Two or more years of experience specific to Fleet, Distribution, Carflow, vehicle logistics, allocation planning, or production pipeline management preferred.
  • One or more years of supervisory, team lead, or people-management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, prioritization, and cross-functional execution skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including leadership-level reporting and escalation communication.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in a demanding environment with competing priorities and time-sensitive decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle allocation, logistics, port operations, carrier coordination, and pipeline performance metrics.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and dashboard/reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent order management / ERP systems.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $91,000 - $130,000
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
  • Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
