    The Manager, IT Product Management is a key Product Owner role on the Offer Order (O2) product team, helping shape the analysis and delivery of the team's strategic objectives for a core internal platform. The platform supports account and customer segmentation, preferences, eligibility, and targeted client experiences across Schwab's business lines. Reporting to an O2 Group Product Manager, this role partners closely with technology and business stakeholders to ensure platform stability, prioritize work effectively, and deliver high-quality, data-driven product solutions.

    This role blends product ownership, Agile delivery, stakeholder partnership, and production support, with a strong focus on execution, communication, and continuous improvement.

    What you''ll do:

    • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to intake production issues, bugs, and enhancement requests; assess business impact, risk, and exposure; and define, track, and refine detailed requirements
    • Partner with product and engineering leaders to define objectives, quarterly roadmaps, and proposals
    • Manage and prioritize the platform backlog, write requirements in JIRA/Rally, define acceptance criteria, and partner with technology on backlog grooming, sprint planning, release planning, scrum meetings, and technical enhancements
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple urgent projects while meeting deadlines
    • Complete technical certifications for internal and external production releases, including support outside regular business hours
    • Work effectively through ambiguity by analyzing business processes, flows, and pain points; using data-driven insights to evaluate options; and recommending practical solutions that support platform enhancements
    • Develop options, recommendations, and proposals for leadership review; facilitate cross-functional discussions; and communicate progress, impacts, and key decisions to stakeholders and impacted teams

    What you have

    To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in digital product management
    • Strong JIRA and/or Rally skills
    • Experience with project planning, dependency management, and business analysis, including assessing business impact.
    • Experience defining use cases and acceptance criteria across epics and stories to support definition of ready, development, testing, and certification.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience creating executive-ready storytelling decks to support alignment and buy-in
    • Ability to communicate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, from vision and strategy to status updates
    • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and sound judgment
    • Experience with tools and systems such as Confluence, SharePoint, and SQL
    • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and flowcharting tools
    • Bachelor's degree preferred; postgraduate degree a plus
