Manager, Financial Planning and Trader Compensation

ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a Financial Planning Manager to join its Corporate Finance organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in the hedge fund or investment management industry who combines strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.

The Financial Planning Manager will have significant responsibility for trader compensation, financial planning and forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. The position will work closely with Corporate Accounting, auditors, and other internal stakeholders while supporting year-end audits and special projects. The role is based in Rowayton, CT, requires Monday Friday onsite work from 8: 00 AM 6: 00 PM, and offers a $170, 000 $215, 000 base salary range.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and administer trader compensation databases
• Calculate monthly and annual trader compensation
• Analyze compensation agreements and translate them into financial models
• Support monthly financial reporting and financial planning processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Develop financial models to support compensation and planning initiatives
• Extract, manipulate, and analyze financial and operational data
• Partner with Corporate Accounting on reporting and planning activities
• Collaborate with auditors on year-end audits for domestic and international entities
• Prepare clear financial analyses and communicate key findings to stakeholders
• Support ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience within a hedge fund or alternative investment environment
• Experience with trader compensation and compensation calculations
• Strong financial planning, forecasting, and reporting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret and model complex compensation agreements
• Strong data management and financial systems capabilities
• Advanced ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project and time management skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across Finance and Accounting teams
