Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinettes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children's specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi'olani Women's Center, Kapi'olani Breast Center and Kapi'olani Women's Cancer Center, the state's only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi'olani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawai'i, we are home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.
The Facilities Management department maintains a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and employees at Hawai'i Pacific Health facilities. It provides our hospital and clinics with regular maintenance of physical buildings, routine safety inspections and minor repairs to ensure that our infrastructure operates at its best. Staff perform skilled work in the repair, replacement and refinishing of equipment and systems such as electrical services, HVAC services, plumbing services, power plant operation and general maintenance of buildings and grounds with goal of providing an aesthetically pleasant, functional and safe operating environment.
As the Facilities Management Manager, you will help to ensure consistent quality performance in the areas of engineering and maintenance at Hawai'i Pacific Health hospitals and clinics. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing and delegating work assignments for maintenance personnel; evaluating the physical plant for performance standards; maintaining effective quality/reliability controls, recommending corrective action when necessary; and ensuring completion of all projects in compliance with all applicable City, State, Federal codes, as well as The Joint Commission guidelines. We are looking for someone with strong organizational and managerial skill, attention to operational and procedural integrity and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent trade school in maintenance related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Three (3) years supervisory experience in general maintenance or physical plant operations.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience in a health care setting.
