The Environmental Services Manager at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a key leadership role within the Environmental Services (EVS) Department, supporting safe, clean, and healing environments across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas. The Environmental Services Manager oversees daily EVS operations, regulatory readiness, staff performance, and service delivery that directly support patient care, infection prevention, and clinical excellence.

The Environmental Services Manager plays a visible leadership role and serves as a steward of safety, quality, and accountability.
The ideal candidate is a dependable and motivated leader with healthcare environmental services experience, demonstrated ability to manage staff and operations in a hospital environment, strong communication and organizational skills, and a working knowledge of regulatory standards, infection control practices, and performance management; prior supervisory experience, familiarity with Joint Commission readiness, and training or mentorship experience are preferred.
Minimum $92,500.00 - Midpoint $115,500.00 - Maximum $138,500.00 per hour based on a 40-hour work week.
The typical work schedule is full-time, based on operational needs, including possible weekends and holidays.
Work location: Onsite at UT MD Anderson in Houston, TX.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 4 years In environmental services, hospital and patient care, or infection control experience, to include two years in a supervisory/management capacity. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: 4 years Environmental services experience to include two years in a supervisory/management capacity.
Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
